Thanks Hog-I. It seems the more I investigate the more I'm going to end up with a longer commute across the river. Due to my situation (will be moving in a hurry and have little time to actually look around the area) An apartment is the direction Im heading in.. I can't seem to find any apartments that folks recommend in the Heights/ Hillcrest area..

Maybe I'll go for a 6 mos lease in North LR and hunt for a House during that time, as SamIAm suggests...

The only other ones I can come up with are Oakwood, which is on either Lookout or Allsop Park Rd. They are older, though, but I think they were re-done. There are several older complexes right on Kavanaugh at the Promenade, but danged if I know the names of them. They are very, very small complexes.

I'd still look down in Rebsamen Park at Vantage Point and some of those down there - there's a ton of them - although I'm not sure what the going price for them is. Just ask the median age, etc. of the residents. I would avoid the ones at the corner of Kavanagh and Allsop Park Rd. They seem to be awfully transient and noisy.

Have you looked on Riverfront Drive, by Alltel? There are some nice apartments in various price ranges in that area.

And there may be a whole lot coming open really soon...I heard some A-tel employees got the basic info on their severance packages today. Sad.

Yeah, this isn't looking good for Little Rock. I am hoping they keep at least some jobs in LR instead of moving them all to NYC. Little Rock is a much cheaper option than NYC for Verizon because of the cost of living, but I am not sure whether LR's smallness and image problem might come into play.

Duh. I meant to put this earlier...I don't know how we all missed that bunch of apartments in the mix. That would probably be a great place for Josie as well. Good catch, bchris.
