Relocating to Little Rock from Nj- any suggestions?

My main concern is safety. I only plan to live in Arkansas for three years and then plan to move back to the east coast. We're just moving there because the govt is making us! We want to be closer to our families. My son will only have to go Pre K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. I just want to make sure the schools are safe first and foremost. I also want to make sure the neighborhood is safe too. I am going to have to rely on good neighbors and coworkers to get through the next three years as I know no one in Arkansas and the flight for family is over 5 hours. Can anyone comment on Hurricane Meadows? The MLS says it's in Benton. Is there one in Bryant too?

My partner claimed the same thing when the gov't sent him to AR 15+ years ago. He seems to have difficulty getting his rear in gear to leave.

I believe that there is a Hurricane Meadows in Bryant. I seem to recall seeing pics of the damage there after a tornado earlier this year. It appeared to be a fairly nice neighborhood, even with the damage at the time. Oh, and to lessen any worry, t'was nothing really major, most of the houses were still standing!
