seeing what you just posted and reading your bio I can imagine how much you would like to leave the area. Obviously Little Rock isn't for everyone, certainly it isn't a good fit for you. Good luck wherever you end up..

Roxy, there are pagans in Central Arkansas, and maybe you'd feel more at home if you found some others you could meet. you may already know about this site but just in case:

Welcome To Arkansas Pagans (http://www.arkansaspagans.com/index.htm - broken link)

good luck and I wish you happiness no matter where you live.

If you are liberal and live in Central Arkansas, consider downtown, Hillcrest, Heights, Quapaw Quarter, and maybe even Argenta. As ridicter said, get out into the sprawly ares and it gets conservative quick.
Little Rock and Arkansas is a hard place for me to understand.

The Northwest of AR seem somewhat liberal, and eastern AR seems very conservative. Little Rock, I ONLY went to those neighborhoods that you mentioned that were 'liberal', and they did seem 'liberal'.

It sounds like the rest of Little Rock is more in-line with eastern Arkansas?

Northwest Ar is not liberal, it is the more traditionally Republican part of the state. Republicans were winning elections there long before other parts of the state were Republican. The city of Fayetteville is said to be a liberal island in a staunchly Republican area. But yes, eastern Arkansas is conservative. In the rest of Little Rock besides the areas mentioned you get a mix of both eastern Arkansas and the northwest part. I'll add that the Heights is also conservative. It's the "old money" part of town.
