So I'm a final year medical student in Birmingham, UK. I just got offered a job today at Princess Royal Hospital for next year (In Haywards Heath, close to Gatwick).
I have 3 days to accept it, so I need your advice!
I'm thinking of living in South London, and commuting from either Balham, Clapham or Croydon.
1. Is this realistic?
2. How much will it cost for 1 year? 3K sound about right?
3. How long will this commute take each way? 30 min?
4. Would I be better off commuting from Victoria Rail? I saw online thats about 50 minutes.
5. What is the average rent in South London? What can I get a 1 bdr for realistically? 2 bdr?
6. Would I be better of getting a car and commuting?
7. Any suggestions?
My salary will be around 22-24K...so I won't be working with much.
Thanks guys! Really would appreciate any help or advice
