The public tackled the knifeman, before armed police turned up, noticed he was wearing what looked like a suicide vest and promptly made the decision to shoot him. The police are treating it at this stage as terror related.

Sadly two members of the public lost their lives and others were injured.

However a swift response by the police stopped this from being a lot worse.

Sadly a further attacks has also now occurred in the Hague in the Netherlands according to recent media reports.

My goodness, I wonder if these two attacks are related?

Brave people stepping in to help others.

Would be waiting to hear who this person was and what his motive was.

I was watching this unfold on a couple of News Channels in my house near Tower Bridge on Friday, around 3.00 p.m., 10.00 a.m. in NYC, when my wife said, “Is that anywhere near where we were on Tuesday?”
Tuesday was my birthday, and she sprang for lunch at an upmarket steak place, Hawksmoor, in Winchester Walk, Borough Market.
I said, “Around 200 metres, maybe 250.”
She said, “Jeez, could you imagine the hassle trying to get a cab home if we’d gone there today?”
I said, “That’s why I love you Red.”
“What do you mean?” she answered.
I said, “There’s a gazillion cops running riot on London Bridge, people are stabbed to death, bystanders jump on a terrorist, a cop blows him away, and all you can think of is how could we have got a taxi home.”

Sadly, terrorist attacks like this occur sporadically and people killed. RIP to dead innocent victims and wishing a full recovery to the injured.

London Bridge attacker was 'student and friend' of Anjem Choudary:

Your wife's attitude Jean shows how normalised this kind of thing has become. Can you imagine something like this happening 50 years ago, shortly after Enoch Powell's speech on immigration? Literally, what Powell was predicting? There would have been outrage, and demands for the end of immigration, from especially Pakistan.

Now, we just mop up the blood, shrug our shoulders, and just thank gawd it wasn't us. This is the new normal. This man had been released from jail after previous terrorist activity. He then waited his time, and then slaughtered innocent folks in our capital city.

At least, we shouldn't be hearing any more about 'Islamophobia' from the Muslim Council of Britain for the rest of this General Election campaign.

Any statement issued from the mayor of London?

Also, can someone tell me why Anjem Choudery is not still in prison? He served less than half his prison term and now it has been revealed that the terrorist who stabbed and killed people yesterday is a personal friend of his. For that matter, the terrorist himself was released from prison last year. Dang.
