Hi all first post hope someone in the OLD Blighty can help

moving to london in Jan 09, i know it expensive to rent / buy houses but what about food .....

can someone give a rough price range on the following itmes for me please
maybe like the middle prices eg (not the cheapest but not the dearest price)

trying to get a feel for food price

2 liters milk
2 pounds chedder chesse
1 pound butter
1 pound rump steak
1 pound chicken breast
1 pound tomatoes
1 pound potatoes
2 pounds of rice

to be honest I don't take much notice of weights of things and so I'll try and report back. But the following I can tell you.

2 litres of mile £1.10
500g of butter is £1.89

To be honest i haven't found supermarket prices much different from Oz. Eating out is a different story.
