I wish i could place a nice mail box in front but the local kids love to smash them so i buy the cheap ones at HD,what I do now is cut a 2x4 block to just fit down the middle of the box,screw it in place so when they whack it it doesn't completely flatten out and I maybe get a full year out of a new box.

And I think its about time you invest in a trail camera and put it at the box to get those little bastids on video.

When we lived in Smithtown, our mailbox was destroyed numerous time late at night by drunken teenagers. I obtained a 5' steel I-beam and welded a steel mailbox to the top after the I-Beam was set in 18" of cement. Needless to say, the mailbox is still there & I'm sure a couple of numbnuts broke a bone or two driving by trying to smash it
