Islip SD in town of Bayshore (Bay Shore, North Bay Shore: houses, schools, zoned)

I have researched Bayshore Schools and was not happy with the stats. I thought I heard that Islip SD was pretty good however how is the part of Bayshore which is zoned to Islip schools? Is the general area/safety of the part of town which these houses might be in better or is the only benefit the sd and are Islip schools indeed better?
