My kids all went to CSH Nursery School at St. John's Church and had extremely positive experiences. The kids loved going to school by the pond and fish hatchery. Excellent teachers. We didn't encounter "snobby" parents (although our youngest "graduated" in 2000).
Hello. I'll be moving to Laurel Hollow from Park Slope later this year and my daughter will be starting nursery school in the fall. Does anyone have further thoughts about area nursery schools? We have looked at both Anne Browers and Cold Spring Harbor Nursery School. We like both!
I was surprised to hear the YMCA is so highly regarded! Is this still the case?

Any other thoughts?
I know several mothers who love it (and their kids love it!).
Disclaimer: I have no personal experience with them ;-)
Several of my friends have sent their kids there. I think they were happier last year than this year. I have heard mixed things this year.
I also have a couple of friends who send their kids to Ann Brower. One loves it, the other complains that it is too chaotic and the child is going elsewhere next year. They also do kindergarten enrichment.
My daughter attended the Y for two years and I was very happy with their program and staff (but it was right before the remodel/2years ago.) The only reason why I left for a different nursery school was because I wanted my daughter (and sons) to make friends with students from their future school district. We made a lot of friends at the Y, but it can be challenging to maintain those friendships when most of the families go to different schools and live further away.
