Yeah I just did a "Google Search" LOL
Smokin Al's looks good, so does Famous Dave's in Smithtown.. Anyone ever try Famous Daves or Smokey Bones..
Also just found out we have a Buffalo Wild Wings in Deer Park!
Famous Daves and Smokey Bones are chains and are definitely good in a pinch. Personally Smokey Bones is my choice of the two.
There is also Fatty Beltbuckles in Farmingdale (I believe??)...they used to have one in Rocky Point but it closed due to some legal issues. The food was very good though...so I imagine the other one is just as good.
Smokin Al's definitely beats Famous Daves, but Bobbique is also very good. I've only been there once, so I didn't sample a large part of the menu. I always stop at Smkn Al's when I'm in Bay Shore. They are pricey, but the portions are huge. I bought a pulled pork sandwich for lunch one day, and it cost about 12 dollars for that and a coke. However the sandwich and fries that came with it made two meals, and believe me, I can eat alot. It was about 1 lb of pork and a huge container of fries.
Smokin Al's uses too much sauce on everything. It's tough to tell what the meat tastes like. Famous Dave's is my own personal favorite. It's closest in presentation to the places I've been down south...that don't slather everything in a ton of sugary sauce (you can do that yourself if you want, it's on the table)
