Why in the world are people in places like Hempstead and Uniondale selling there homes for $300,000 and above? Right now for that price I can buy a house in a better neighborhood.

Well...this question would be moot if you weren't thinking about buying in one of those areas to begin with. Who are you to tell someone what price they should put on a house that belongs to them(or the bank). Just go to Hicksville or East Meadow and buy there
