I am familiar with Wyandanch and North Amityville since they are both in the town of Babylon where I live. But i'm not familiar with Central Islip and Brentwood so I just wanna know what input the people that live (or lived) in these areas have to say about it. I wanna know which place is better than the other so in the end when I decide to start seriously looking, I have a better idea of which one of these communities is most preferable to me.
(I chose those 4 areas since they have the most affordable housing options.)
Thank you for clarifying that!
I agree with the other people, none of these areas are worth investing in. Start thinking of other options for affordable housing. The prices are going down in the better areas too. Keep saving.
I hate to bring up the subject - but I think even Mastic/Shirley might be a set up from your 4
I don't think so according to the latest post by a resident in the "Are Shirley Mastic and Mastic Beach as bad or worse than they were 7 years ago?" thread:
If those are your only 4 choices then why not try a condo .I bought mine for 150k in medford about a month or so ago. I am noticing that its not as bad an area as people claim. Plus I have a 9 hole par 3 golf course and indoor pool to come home to every day.
Wheatley Heights, Huntington, Bayshore or West Islip
