It's only gay if you guys are signing showtunes while picking.

Why not take a ride to Port Jeff and get a bite to eat?

Why do you use the word gay like it's supposed to be a bad thing?

"Not that there is anything wrong with that". Too early for apples. hit the wineries, once you get out there they are clustered together. I like Pelligrini, Palmer and Bedell but there are so many new ones I have never been to. I always like doing it when it is a little cooler but it is one of my favorite things to do - with kids it is kind of difficult to do these days.

There are tons of wineries on Sound Ave on the North Fork. The Shinnecock pow wow is this weekend.
Not sure if the Hampton Classic is still going on. Save apple picking for Oct and you can do pumpkin picking and apple picking in the same day and do the corn mazes and hayrides and have roasted corn etc. That makes for a nice fall weather day!

If you drive east on Sound ave. from Edwards Ave. there are numerous vineyards. Castello de Borghase being my favorite. If you wind up as far as Greenport there are also many restaurants to choose from including Hellenic Snack Bar for some great Greek food and Claudios. I don't know if apples are ready but there must be something to pick at some of the farms out there.

Bedell, Vineyard 48 & Borghese are my favorites. You can pack a lunch & picnic at any of them.
There are plenty of farm stands to shop at, cute stores in mattituck or continue on to Greenport.
The Hampton Classic is still on.
