I can't wait to see what the OP thinks of the responses so far. Something tells me it hasn't been the groundswell of outrage he envisioned.

I will attempt to pull up the DMV handbook.

And what is ticketed for does not mean what is and is not illegal. Many of us go up to 10mph over the speed limit on highways yet don't get tickets even with officers following us. This does not mean it is legal.

EDIT: Whoops, looks like I'm wrong.

Oh well. I still see a lot of people double up in the intersection :\
Good find on the DMV website rule. The double up part I was not aware that was not allowed. You learn something new everyday I guess

Yet you shouldn't honk at them or you'll make them go when they shouldn't and cause a fatal accident.

I noticed the same thing when the cameras went up. The reason I was having such a hard time was because I was driving 7-10 mph above the speed limit and following too close. I guess if I actually drove the limit and didn't follow too close I wouldn't have many issues. I have since learned to leave more room between cars. I still need to work on the slowing down part though.

No officer would EVER ticket someone for what I did.

All of you who simply want to claim that we all should drive perfectly deserve the shearing of your $$$ that's coming. BAA BAAA BAAAAAAH!!!

HELLOOOOOO..... don't you get it????? It's not "right on red after ROLL". It's "right on red after STOP", meaning a FULL STOP.

You said you got more than one ticket ---- were they all for "rolling on red"? Or did you just completely disregard the law on the other ones, too, and blow through red lights ?

BTW, other people here who've had these tickets mailed to them were annoyed, yes, but paid the ticket and considered it a lesson learned. You? You're trying to start a "citizens uprising" against red light cams because you got 4 tickets. You hoped everyone would rally around you but they didn't because you're wrong and you're a cry baby complaining that you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

So, I'm guessing whoever gets the "shearing" of a $50 ticket will just pay it since they knew they did something wrong. I, for one, seriously doubt anyone here will try to cause an "uprising" over it.

Grow up and accept the consequences of YOUR behavior!

I really did not expect a groundswell or uprising. I was venting and wanted to gauge the level of outrage. Apparently, there's not much and I'm not too surprised. It's always been the active few who make changes happen. I, for one, will not bend over this time. my own

Did you realize that your "fee" goes to:

PO BOX 742503, Cincinnati OH 45274-2503

I'll bet 50% at least goes to that state.
