Hello. Looking for suggestions for my son's first bday party near long beach, ny. Do not want to go crazy - maybe a room in the back of a pizza place or soemthing. Was thinking of finding a childrens singer guitarist. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you
why don't you do a nice "retro" party...like I had when I was a kid...wouldn't it be exceptional to have the mothers bring their other kids to your house, where you will have made a nice cake, tossed out some snacks...while you kvetched about diapers over coffee?

Since a child's first b'day party is typically for the parents and not the child, why not just do something simple? Why rent a space, etc??? It's going to cost you close to $200. Why not just do something at home with friends, family, and a sheet cake?

I agree. What kid remember their first b-day party?
