Smithtown, as part of a trial project, sent out 1,000 paper leaf bags to residents of Kings Park. Since they stopped giving out the free plastic lawn and leaf bags to save money, why did they give 1,000 brown paper bags to homes in Kings Park and not to Commack and Smithtown? That does not seem fair as why should everyone have to pay for their leaf bags and Kings Park residents get them for free?
Homelessness and hunger pale in comparison to the absence of free leaf bags.
But what about THE CHILDREN? Someone has to think of THE CHILDREN!
