best thing is that ,,,,,,,,,,I don't have a house and live in a condo, and was baiting all of you venomous folks to comment. talk about fishin in a barrel. thanks for the quick chuckle..........
must be me.... sorry, but I'm not cleaning up 1 leaf until they're all off the trees. I've got too many to worry about keeping my lawn pristine, it will be covered by the next day.
once they're down, I'll pick them up, until then, I've got better things to do.

Oh, REALLY?
You don't say ...
... well on the first of the month, expect the dollar amount of your pension to be transformed to rupees ... not currency exchange ... just rupees. I will be hacking into the NYS computer database shortly ...
So if your pension is $1,500 a month, you will get 1,500 rupees.
Then you can start your own business to make up the difference ... how about raking leaves for those who are too busy out working jobs and paying taxes to keep ***ahem*** certain people in early retirement pension money?
Lawn covered with leaves this weekend. Spent a few hours monday filling up a few bags to have a nice clean lawn. Home from work Monday night, lawn was covered with leaves again. Thats where they'll stay.
I'm with the original poster. It sucks to constantly maintain your property and have it get covered with leaves from surrounding neighbors who are too damn lazy and/or cheap to clean up their yards. I've picked my leaves up 2 or 3 times a week and it is still a mess. If my damn neighbors did their share, it would not be so burdensome.
I'm starting my commercial blower up on Saturday at 7AM sharp. If they don't like, too damn bad.
Actually quite the opposite... I think the response was not of thin skinned long islanders, but rather that of Long Islanders tired of thin skinned islanders... In this thread, you are the thin skinned one.... we are the ones aggravated with you. You=Bad Guy
If you are in the middle of the block and you rake, good for you. If your neighbor lives near the end and has a fence, it doesn't matter how many time s/he rakes, they all blow from your pristine yard into the final yard on the block. I know, because I have that yard.
I wait until they stop falling, and I'm not terribly anal about it because no matter how many times I rake, my yard fills up.
