Hi! I see a thread of LI pictures but i notice they are mostly new. I'm looking for a good website with old pictures of LI - mostly Nassau. Any recommendations are much appreciated thank you!

LI Memories is a cooperative effort to digitize the archival collections of LI libraries (including photos):
Long Island Memories: LILRC Digitization Project

NYPL's Digital Gallery also has many LI images:

LI Oddities has some interesting stuff:

Check to see if some of the Nassau historical societies have websites.

If I remember it never produced commercial power, but was run at low power for testing.

Per Wikipedia contributors: "The Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant was a completed $6 billion General Electric nuclear boiling water reactor located adjacent to the Wading River in East Shoreham, New York that was closed by protests in 1989 without generating any commercial electrical power."
