We are going to be visiting Montauk this weekend. Is there a local place - with decent food - that we can go to with our 3 year old to for dinner?

The food at Montauk Manor is very good. Also there is a place that used to be in town called the Harvest something or other that was superb. Gurneys is ok, but the view is beautiful.

Trails End and Shagwong, you can go to Gurney's or Salivar's-not sure if West Lake Marina is still open, may have closed for the season, you may like to go to the lighting of the Light House on Sat.

I spend a ton of time in Montauk every spring and fall. Not sure, but Lobster Roll may be closed for service. Shagwong on main street can be a good MTK experience.

O'Murphy's is a pub... nothing really special if you ask me.

Avoid Salivars unless drunk or drunker. Most of us call it Salive-ars.

Westlake chowder house may still be open, not sure but it will be the most kid friendly with real decent food.

The Point has a nice view of the channel. It's on the east side of the channel.

BEST food in MTK is Dave's Grill. You need to make reservations same day.

Also... Nichols in East Hamptons is great for fall. They have a fireplace and great food.

Good luck. Great time of year to visit MTK. Nice and quiet!

Thanks for all the suggestions - I checked the Lobster Roll website and the one in Amagansett is closed for the winter.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
