Can anyone recommend a restaurant somewhere North of the L.I.E. in mid-Suffolk? (Lets say from about Smithtown to Rocky Point)

When I looked into the menu prices at Pace's Steakhouse I realized it would be about $75+ pp if we did a full dinner. $375 w/ tax&tip was was too much for me for 4 ppl.

I was hoping to spend about $200 or $250 tops for four.

Thanks

Does it need to be a Steakhouse? There are lots of great seafood places.

PJs Lobster House (Port Jeff)
Bliss in Miller Place (not all seafood)
A lot of people rave over Lombardi's on the Sound (ive never been there personally)

lots of others...

The Country House in Stony Brook offers a Prix fixe dinner menu Sun-Thurs for $36 pp. Lovely ambiance, great food.
The Country House (http://countryhouserestaurant.com/menus.html - broken link)

Mirabelle Tavern in Stony Brook (inside the Three Village Inn) is also very good, but might come close to the top end of your budget.

O's in St James is another tasty spot. Casual, hip sort of vibe. Art installations (just had another opening yesterday.) Within budget.

Is there anything in particular you want or wish to avoid?
