I am interested in moving to the Lake Panamoka area and heard from a friend who lives in Ridge to avoid that area because it is infested with drugs and shady activity. I've also heard good things. Please don't be afraid to fill me in.

The only spot in Ridge I'd avoid is Homestead Village and thats nowhere near Panamoka

Panamokas OK.As long as youre cool with Longwood, Ridge is a fantastic buy.

we have family who have lived in Lake Panamoka for 15 years - no problems and they love their neighbors ...

There are a couple of houses known for drug activity mostly heroin. I have a friend from Middle Island who in the past crossed through the neighborhood to get to Wading River and had several neighborhood kids pelt rocks at her car. She avoids that neighborhood now. There are problems there but nothing really horrible. There are far worse neighborhoods in Ridge.

We've heard the same thing but we were hearing the dope houses were in Wading River on the way to Ridge.
