I want to install central air conditioner as well as renovate kitchen and bathrooms. What order do you do first?

If you are planning to sell this house and not sure if you going to get the 2nd or 3rd item, I would start with kitchen since thats number one thing buyer looks for. 2nd bathroom and then central. If you are planning to retire, depending on the condition of your bathroom/kitchen, if bathroom is discusting, I would do that first, if your kitchen is discusting, I would do that first, if both are horrible, if I am a man, I would do bathroom first, woman .. kitchen :-p Either way central air sounds like it would be always last.

Also you don't need central air, you could do split air conditioner, the main unit is outside, and just the fan unit seats on your wall, and little hose through the wall back of it, no noise and you could do multiple zones. And 10x cheaper....

If the OP is going to redo baths and kitchen PLUS put in CAC, wouldn't it make sense to put in the ducting and vents for the CAC first, so you don't have to mess up the kitchen and baths after they've been redone??

I was thinking the same, but not everyone can afford to do all 3 at the same time...

Yes, ducting while the other rooms are ripped apart. Electrician will be wiring baths, kitchen and can energize the CAC toward the end. Grills and all on last so that they aren't damaged or lost during painting and such.
