Passed by it this week and saw that it was demolished. Haen't passed there in a while so I don't know if this has been like this for months or jus recntly. Anyone heard of what will become of that plot now that something seems to be going on?

go to riverhead patch . they have a new article about all the new places coming in. That spot will be a lowes. I think riverhead is really trying. A lot of cool places coming in. Sadly most of them wont be open till the summer or fall.
At least they are trying - That building has sat there closed and abandoned for too many years. It seems like LOWES is opening a lot of new stores.
I wonder when the huntington townhouse is going to be demolished because a Lowes is supposed to be built there too
I remember driving past that place 25+ years ago and seeing very few cars parked in that huge lot. Hopefully Lowes will bring some jobs and clean up that blighted property.
Only Bright spot Was it was Already developed But RT58 Traffic is a Joke
Thanks To Tanger
I can get out and Run Faster
Its 2 lanes in each direction now.......traffic is quite smoothe since they opened it up to two lanes from the LIE down to the traffic circle. No more 2 lanes....down to one....back to 2 lanes and so on.....
