Yes, OP, what do you think of NYC in this regard? Is it okay for NYC to be the most segregated, while it's "not okay" for LI to be on the list? Please explain.

So? They make it sound like that's a bad thing.

Whites moved out of the cities and into the suburbs to get away from minorities. When minorities began moving into white towns, white flight ensued.

When whites move into black neighborhoods people complain about gentrification and blacks are forced to leave because they're priced out of the neighborhood.

No matter what people do, they can't win. Liberals who want to socially engineer 'diversity' is a disaster waiting to happen.

The great irony here is that some of the most liberal cities in the country are the most segregated (NYC, San Fran, etc.) proving that liberals are innately racist which they keep trying to blame conservative Red States for.

People move to LI for the segregation... If the data reported here changed, it would have quite a snowball effect on the Island as a whole and I think it would lead to even more flight.

I certainly didn't move to Long Island to live in some cultural, racial, or ethnic stew.

WHY would they rezone your friend to Wyandanch schools when the previous owner was zoned for Half Hollow Hills? That's ridiculous.
So I am lying. She purchased to house about 5 years ago. If was definitely HHH. She works for one of the school-tax-for-protection-scheme disctricts.

Also the house/block I grew up on used to be zoned for Deer Park, as people who lived East of Straight Path and Nicholls Road were able to go to Deer Park.

The discussion was about LONG ISLAND - NOT NYC. I believe there's a forum for NYC.
