Being upper middle class is about not having to proclaim that you're upper middle class. Trust me, there's more to it than being able to afford a nice house.

wut else is it all abt?
this is a ? ive asked myself 2 many times
dont rly get wut ur saying

dont rly see how proclaiming 1 thing
as opposed 2 another thing
changes ur socio-economic status
think mayb u r thinking abt it in a "form b4 function" analogy
leik u r thinking that ppl act a certain way and they bcome upper middle class

how can that b?

i am not rly 2 concerned w/how ppl bcome upper middle class
i have already worked rly hard
2 marry sum1 who works "in finance"
in "the city" (scary)
so we can own a house in a highly desiarable area
beyond the decaying suburbs in nassau cty
so i can stay @ home 2 raise r gifted/talented children
when they r born

just trying 2 figure out y it is meaningful 2 live this lifestyle
just trying 2 figure out wut happiness rly is

but i kno 4 sure that in order 2 preserve the upper middle class
of long island
we cannot allow 2 many rental apt bldgs
2 many urban problems
2 many illegal immigrant day labor workers
2 many gangs/heroin users

even if it makes sum ppl sad

It would certainly be more considerate to the rest of us if you were to actually write full words. Your "text message" style does not invite full attention
Nor does it speak of "upper middle class".

im sorry
i kno i am not "the worlds best speller"
i will try harder

but also there is a good quote from history
"it is a dam poor mind that can only think of 1 way 2 spell a word"
think JFK said that
not rly sure...

i just find it easier 2 use abbreviations sometimes
and i feel like it is part of wut defines my internet persona
a part of the whole "long island POSTER xperience"
mayb i culd ask my hubby 2 make a rosetta stone/altavista babelfish translation guide?

Abbreviating words has nothing to do with spelling - it's abbreviating;
sort of like speedwriting , only I wouldn't expect anyone else to read it...

It's your choice to communicate that way and anybody else's choice to ignore it--or not
