Hello all -

The understanding that the weather is getting better around here (though today isn't an indication of that) I've been attempting to assist my wife in looking for some away-from-the-house cold-weather activities for our 1 1/2 year old daughter. She is a stay-at-home mother, and would be involved with her. From time to time she has gone to playtime meetups and all that, but on the days when there is no one around, she is always looking for ideas on where to go. The local libraries offer a lot, but mostly for a slightly older age group. The local parks and beaches are very nice, in my opinion, compared to many areas of the country, but are an obvious warm weather destination. She's checked out baby gyms, too, but I guess I was trying to diversify her options a bit.

I think she's been to White Post Farms and the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery. Have any of the local moms here been to any of the local museums, do they have anything to offer the toddler age group, or are there any other places that sound interesting or welcoming for young moms and toddlers?

I may have exhausted all of the options already, but I figured I would ask.

Bill
