Seems like another food chain is looking to come to Long Island. Was told that Cracker Barrel is looking for space. Wonder where they would go (as most Cracker Barrels require a lot of space)?
Only thing that is needed now is a Wegman's, but I have been told by their Real Estate department that they are not planning to build a Wegman's on the island.

"Hey, we don't want to put a store in the NYC area, it's too expensive."

Yes! I love Cracker Barrel. Are they really going to leave rocking chairs and checker games sets out on a porch unattended?
ALong the LIE...I would bet either 107, 110, Old Nichols Rd.
LOL...no way Queens East ; ), they would never tarnish the "Country" brand by putting one in Nassau.
You dont even see them in CT till out East and up North.
My guess is 101 near Yaphank/Rt 58 in Riverhead etc.
MAYBE Near 63 by the old Multiplex depending on whats coming in rail wise.
Truthfully Id be stunned if they came here at all.We just dont fit their brand as much as wed like to think otherwise.
I bet they are carefully monitoring the success of County 96.1.
I hope they do come. Love to see a Stew Leonards too.

Crooks
I hope you're right Crooks! I'd love to see a Cracker Barrel in Riverhead! Though I fear, like many other restaurants, that the Long Island Cracker Barrel will pale in comparison to those out of state.

The ones near Albany arent bad.
I think Riverhead isnt too dissimilar, I could see one on 58.
Just throw it up on 347 with everything else. Place will make a fortune.
LI'ers are dumb enough to wait 118 minutes for a medicore meal.
347 is a trainwreck we avoid it like the cross bronx.
I guess I wont be gettin any Country Fixins if they do.
