My dad bought his cape (North Babylon) in 1962 for 13K and sold it in 1991 for about 150K. And to think he was more than happy with getting that.

We had a lot of illegal apartments back in the 80's but that was because of lack of apartments and was easy money for the landlords. Many were built to house a parents freshly married kid, and were then rented out after they moved out.

Has there been much talk or evidence of foreclosures increasing?

It went very well for our first.

A lot of people coming from Queens.

No bites as yet but it was encouraging(actual buyers with actual interest came and stayed)

Either way were in a very good spot in this home so if the Fit hits the Shan we can ride out a collapse.

So glad we didnt fall for with the ARM McMansion

Thanks for the well wishes Kelly.

Its in Gods hands....if were supposed to go it'll happen.
Were just putting in the footwoork.

If not, I still got a great house by the beach.
Might even be waterfront if we ever do get our Hurricane.

Best
