Does anyone know what these gross things are? I think they might be "mites" they are tiny, round with little legs like spiders. Not to sound like an animal hater but when i squish them (they are on my kitchen window sill) there is quit a bit of blood GROSS!!! there are soooooooooooo may but none on my plants ???????????? any answers people ?

I also get them every year. Nothing seems to kill them or if it does, they come back very quickly. I get them in my house near the window where I have constant sun. Since I have pets, I can't do anything expect wipe them up once in a while. However on the back steps, I've seen them and sprayed. Its a temporary fix.

Red velvet mites. Harmless but get messy if you wipe them. Vacuum them up.

they are by my window too..............they come back everyday EW!!! if I find an answer i will let you know

I did vacuum them but 10 seconds later there are more. Atleast they are harmless......thank you for telling what they are - I will research them now. Have a great day !!!

Those annoying little creatures are Clover Mites......these leave the red stain behind.

If you draw a circle around them in pen they cannot get out of the cirlce. Really!
