hi am relocating to newyork from india can any one guide me how will be the cost of living differ from other states in US . how will be the rent if i took a single bed room etc i need some suggestion on this.It would be a great help for me if any one share your thoghts

You would likely pay anywhere from $800-1200 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment. If you want to be in a community that has a high Indian population, I would recommend Hicksville. It's a nice town, convenient to a lot of stores, public transportation and parks. I lived there about 5 years ago. Good luck with your move.

Don't expect to find anything under $1,000/month - more likely it'll be around $1,200. Both Hicksville and Bethpage might be suitable for you.

suseeauto, without knowing the address of the office where you will be working, I'm hazarding a guess that it will be in East Garden City ("Garden City, NY 11530" mailing address).
