Hi, I'm Not Sure If This Is The Right Place To Be Asking, But Bear With Me.

I'm Trying To Get From Mt Sinai To Hempstead Tonight At About Midnight, Would It Be Easier To Go From Port Jeff Or Should I Go The Ronkonkoma Route?

AND How Do I Get To Hempstead From There?

Doesn't really matter which line you take. You probably will have to travel west to Jamaica then back East to Hempstead

+1

From where you are, take the train from PJ to Jamaica and backtrack to Hempstead

At midnight on every April 14th everyone in Hempstead comes out of their homes and join together to sing Kumbaya.

Ouch!

You're right. Leaving from PJ involves 2 transfers and 2.5 hours while leaving Ronkonkoma is 2.25 hours. The rider would spend more time getting to Ronk than they would save on the train ride.

Why not just drive? At that hour of the night the roads are pretty good, you will shoot right through....

Taking the train causes issues, esp bc Hempstead is not a main hub and in order to get there from either the PJ line or Ronkonkoma line you will need to transfer in Jamaica (or maybe Hicksville??) and backtrack to Hempstead station...

It is not really convenient.....
