So now Shirley houses Criminals from other States. I would think the Friends who he stayed at in Shirley should go to jail as well for not turning him in.

I bought a house in East Yaphank a year ago last March .. Bill Willits was also our agent..He isd great, I told him what I wanted and he delivered it when showing me homes .. the house is not perfect, but after looking other areas, Wading River, Rocky point, south Shirley, Patchogue and Ridge, with this house I got the best bang for my buck.. I have a huge backyard, a lot of porch and my home is 1800 SF. I am happy here, there are many beautiful homes in this area.. yes there are rental dumps too .. but I had that living in other areas also.
I have close access to the LIE and the water and for shopping I go east or north. Nothing beats the backroads here either.. it is like stepping back 50 years in time .. I love it here ...

Default New In Mastic

Hi,

Are there asian people living in Mastic at all? I am buying a house there and want to know if I will be the only asian person living there.
Do you think Mastic is a good place for me to live? I mean provided I might be the only chinese looking guy in the neighborhood.

Thanks.

honestly i don't think you'll see many asian people in that area, but I don't think it would be a problem. Its a melting pot for sure.

hope this helps ...but I think the Longwood school system is for Middle Island
Greatschools.net Search: longwood

The best school in the neighborhood is rated as a 6 out of 10 (trust me - 8 out of 10 is not that good , so make what you will on a 6)

Truthfully, no. It is not a very nice area & you might be uncomfortable there. The school district William Floyd is not good at all and there are gangs and very scary pockets of dangerous areas. I would try for almost any other area than Mastic or Mastic Beach. Sorry.

Nancy

The 1800 SF (1800 sqare feet) is a vague calculation of house size. It should be done by a building code standard but depending on who sets that number it can range very widely. It usually refers to the "actual living space, including all heated areas" but there are realtors who include basements, garages and even "space under roof" (meaning the eave/crawlspace or attic space) in the total sqaure footage so that they can sell a "larger" house for less money. The closest to actual size guideline would be found at the tax assessors' offices but don't take these as perfect becuse they have my house listed as 1843 ft² but in reality it is slightly over 2000ft².

Hope this helps
