Just to follow up on my other thread, I am wondering whether anyone here knows if an in-ground, custom made spa, that is steel framed and has vinyl lining costs more to heat up in the winter than a pre-fabricated spa placed in ground inside a concrete crib. A salesman from Backyard Masters told us that the custom made spas cost more to heat in the winter because they are not as well insulated as the pre-fabricated ones placed in ground, and that the heating would fight the cold temperature of the soil.

Also, has anyone put one in? Is there a company you recommend for the entire process (digging, spa design and manufacturing, installation, electricity, and masonry)? I live in Northport, so if anyone knows a company that would do work around there it would be great. Thank you!
