Anybody here use Scotts Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed control? I have used it twice already with my Scotts standard broadcast spreader and both times I burned my lawn. Is anybody else experiencing this? I have the dial set at 3 on the spreader. I prefer to use the granular weed control as apposed to the water based ones because it’s more convenient.*

The bag should indicate what the spreader setting should be at.

This is a general chart:

I used it in the Spring with no problems. I then switched to a water based weed control without fertilizer.

I'm guessing maybe I over lapped. What did you have your setting on?

Don't overlap. You shouldn't put more then one application within 6wks time frame. I use the Scotts Crab grass preventer end of March and Weed Control end of May.

Sorry balancedact, I can't remember the settings. I usually go by sight as far as amount and how far my broadcast spreader throwing the product.

About the same as me NYTom, but I do each about a month earlier.

I used a lawn service for a few years and recently dropped them. So far I'm getting the same if not better results with the dry Scotts product supplimented with water based week control.
