Massapequa Park is one of those many village and hamlets on Long Island where many of the places with the community name in their mailing address (2,120 acres) are not in the community (1,398 acres).

Places that have a "Massapequa Park, NY 11762" mailing address that are not in the Village of Massapequa Park are in the Hamlet of Massapequa, the Hamlet of North Massapequa and the Hamlet of East Massapequa; and, at the same time, there are places that are in the Village of Massapequa Park that have a "Massapequa, NY 11758" mailing address.
I went out to MP and it was very nice. Some of the houses were in MP near the preserve and others were by sunrise but I never saw sunrise. The blocks some of these house were like a maze.
All DaRiv is a buy.

Starting to confuse, when I look up addresses on the Census address finder it said " Massapequa Union free school District " <<< is this the better District?
Yup, Da Riv = The Riviera. South Shore from Merrick east to Mass and MP. Used loosely, because south of Merrick Road by the water is true Riviera, but whole area is all good. Mass is probably the best now. I came from south Wantagh, and the Woods in Wantagh, just north of Sunrise is now very desireable living.

MatzohPizza is a "humorous" nickname given to the Massapequa area and Da Riv as in "the Riviera" is the slightly larger southeastern portion of Nassau County.
Massapequa School District (USFD 23) is a "good" school district.

I've heard Mass SD is a large SD, best in Da Riv, and better than Plainedge SD. Others here live in both, so they know more about it than moi.

Beginning on the north and moving in a clockwise direction, the Massapequa Union Free School District includes all or part of the Hamlet of North Massapequa, the Village of Massapequa Park, the Hamlet of East Massapequa and the Hamlet of Massapequa.
