You were given 30 day notice on 6-30 by the LL on an apartment that is month-to-month. That means you need to move out by 7-30.

No. If he tapes a hand written note 24 hours prior to entrance to the apartment then he is legally allowable to enter the apartment since cable services fall under utilities. And even if he doesn't, its your word against his if it were put up or not.

The cops refused to do anything. The double spoke and refused to give me anything in writting
Then they found the LL within his legal rights. Thus its a civil case whch you will probably lose.

You could shoot him and say you thought he was a burglar.

Wait. This is about the landlord entering the apartment to take his own cable boxes? I don't understand why this is an issue for you.

From what I understand, the LL has failed to do a lot of things, like sewage cleanup from a big flood, and this is just another notch in the list.

But whether the items are his or not, the LL cannot just enter a rented premises without giving notice, or without an emergency.

So is the sewer issue cleared up, or is there now no toilet and no TV?

If your landlord, on June 30, gave you 30 days notice to leave, you legally have the obligation to be out of there at the end of this month (July). You have no choice. Better get looking quickly.
