They didn't collect fares on Monday because the trains were so packed, they wouldn't be able to get thru the cars. I assume the trains the next morning, while a little delayed, weren't packed like they were on Monday.

I have a monthly so I could care less either way but I wouldn't make a stink about it with the conductor if had a pay per ride.

I was in a train that had plenty of room...no one standing. I understand when the conductors cant get down the car...but those Box Monkeys know when to walk the cars and when not to. If your job is to check tickets you should do it when the trains are running fine and when they are not...but those Monkeys hide themselves when there are problems.

Typical fo the LIRR..bury your head when there is a problem.

Perhaps a decision was made by someone above their heads not to collect any fares due to the delays as not to stir up the pot from a bunch of angry passengers making the situation worse and possibly putting there health and saftey at risk . If they had collected fares I am sure people would have complained about that too lol.

Its sharkweek people lighten up
