I think the majority of this board are past the novelty of living in the burbs and are dealing with the stark fist of high taxes beating them over the head each day.
LI shouldn't suck.
However if I were reading this board as an outsider....I would think it does.
Why would people troll these boards all day long when all they seek to do is shoot people down and talk bad about a place. Most of these ignorants don't even live here. Hello. Go troll on another board, you know, on the place that you love so much more than dreadful LI.
I would say those who must bash are trying to make themselves feel better somehow. Is it remotely possible that the bashers are simply jealous that they cannot afford to live here? Why else are they here and all angry then?
