K. If I live smack on Lincoln ave in the middle of Sayville - Where do I go to school?
According to the Census Bureau's online address search function, if you resided on Lincoln Avenue in Sayville, you were in the Sayville Union Free School District.

Correct Walter. There are maybe 2 blocks in Sayville cdp that go to Conetquot. Even if I lived in a boat on the great south bay in Sayville I would go to Sayville schools.

Even if that were the case, two blocks are still two blocks, and that would mean that a part, it doesn't have to be a big part as long as it is a part, of the Hamlet of Sayville is in the Connetquot Central School District.

Thats fine, but nobody south of Moutauk goes to Connetquot...thats a fact

All of this silliness started at Post #21 where that poster stated that Connetquot does not go down to the bay -- which it does. There was no mention of people at that point. When proven wrong, he tried to obfuscate the discussion by bringing in where students go to school.
At this point in time with Irene looming who knows where Connetquot or Sayville kids will be living, much less attending school, if we get the storm surge predicted.

Lol I hope not... I love Sayville and the whole strip from Oakdale-Blue point for that matter...
This house is in Sayville and actually closer to Cherry than Bosti and my kids would go to Bosti. So strange. Anyway, they accepted my offer and the inspection is supposed to be Saturday. I was thinking of pushing it back until after the hurricane? Im going to miss my house and Shoreham so much

Shoreham is nice but id take Sayville over it in a heartbeat...you will be very happy in Sayville trust me. Great walkable downtown, nicely kept neighborhoods, good location, good schools. Can't really go wrong...its my favorite area on the south shore. Good luck!
Thanks, I did push it back until Tuesday. I figured if it was Monday I might not be able to get back from Albany easy enough. Who knows what the roads will be like, power etc?
