I grew up in Manorville, and I do have to say its a very nice community. During my high school years my family had moved to Ridge when I was in 9th grade. Ridge is only about 10 min. west of Manorville. I graduated from Longwood CSD which in my opinion is a much better school district then Eastport South Manor CSD. I had so much more opportunity at Longwood CSD.

After graduating from HS I then moved to Nassau county and now reside in the town of Oyster Bay.

Here is what I can tell you about the difference between Manorville and the northern part of nassau county. Out here in Nassau County people do have money and yes are snobby, in Manorville people think they have money (there homes and cars and such are mostly liability, not assets) and yes are also snobby. Oyster Bay area is definitely older then the Manorville community, but Nassau offers a lot more then the Manorville area. Manorville is a expensive area, its not cheap. Unless you go off of exit 69 on the LIE thats a little more affordable in that area.

East Morchies is most likely going to be more affordable then Manorville, what kills you in Manorville are the taxes. I know Nassau county has high taxes too.

Look at Shoreham on the north shore, little more affordable and from there you can take 25 east to the north fork!

Just take your time, see where you land your first job and then find a area close to where work is.

But I do suggest the north shore of eastern LI, its much nicer in my opinion then the south shore.

Thank You JazzManLI, I do prefer the south shore because of my fond of boating and a big reason why i like East Moriches is because of its location on LI and how close it is to the water. Thanks for your imput, Rob
