On this whole topic, I don't think it's that crazy to think there's some sort of parallel universe / dimension / wavelength / frequency, one of the above, etc... A lot of things don't make sense, look at the double-slit experiment where matter can take more than one form (wave or particle).

But, then. Do you think that the whole show Long Island Medium is scripted? I can not imagine that there would be that many people who would collude with this.
Maybe this relates: I heard that John Edward got a many predictions wrong but his show was edited to show mostly the ones that were on target. I don't think there is anything wrong with that, and he certainly got more hits than you or I probably would.
On the other hand, I once attended a service by a spiritualist church. Near the end a fellow went through the entire room, contacting a deceased for each person present with a short message. Most people/every person in the room seemed to feel that the contact was authentic. There were maybe 50 to 60 in attendance, so I would say the guy was incredibly accurate.
It might be interesting to make contact with such a group again, although I am more interested in the process, how they do what they do, rather than contacting my own deceased relatives.

TLC has announced that its new series LONG ISLAND MEDIUM has been picked up for a second season. Season two is slated to premiere in March 2012 with 12 half-hour episodes.
A friend of mine worked with John Edwards when he was a Phlebtomist at St. Francis Hospital. So, he went from drawing blood to being a psychic..go figure.
I recently saw the two hour documentary about the Long Island Killer on Bravo tv.
Has this woman offered her services to the police? If not, she could still give information on her show - something about the killer or crimes or at the very least, news that she did mail to the police everything she 'got'.
Truth is, at least in my eyes, these mediums are accurate an amazing number of times, more than the average guy would be if he were guessing, but I think they are probably wrong a lot more times than they are right.
