One can feel it even remotely.

An average adult emits about 100W in heat, depending on diet, metabolic rate, body surface area etc.
If you put 5-6 people and a dog in a room - it's basically the same effect as a small space heater (800W or so).

apparently it kicked on this morning... during the summer, i'll usually drop the thermostat down to 60... maybe i'll drop it lower when i get home tonite

Yesterday afternoon was the first time, started a fire in my wood stove in basement that ties into my air ducts.A three log fire brought my 80 ft long ranch up to 71o F.Never used my oil burner for the last 3 years.Have a separate "Bock" hot water heater that uses 90 gal. of oil per year.I love ----ing it to the Arabs (grin)

I turned the CAC off and set the thermostats to 60. Nothing has kicked on (yet).

It's 71 all year round inside my house. Right now it's heat in the morning and A/C in the afternoon.

slept with the A/C on last night because I was having a hot flash LOL, woke up to 65 degrees in my house. Shut off the A/C and opened 3 windows in my house. The house is now 67. I will turn on the heat once my gas conversion is done. I am hoping to have in done by Novemeber 1st.
