I know its been decades since the mall had a fitness club (jack lalanne) but now they are getting a new one. but why? theres one above Kohls, theres one next to mcdonalds and theres one i believe where the raquet ball club is. why does massapequa feel the need for another?

There's also one in the Carmens Road shopping strip, behind the DMV.
Synergy, Survival, Big Al's have all been open relativly long so it seems the town does well with gyms. I know people who left synergy because it hosts a rather big High School crowd, since the place by the high school closed/consolidated with Big Als.

If it's at the mall, then it would be in East Massapequa ("Massapequa, NY 11758" mailing address).

Your sarcasim follows from another thread directed at another poster, but you seem to forget a high membership would lead to a better clientle'.
As stated earlier, I know many people who left Synergy Massapequa because of the younger crowd, yet there are no other options. There's nothing worse than a group of 6 teenages yapping on and on together, hogging the equiptment.
If you followed the math in the other post you'd realize a gym could bring in the same revenue if they increased the fees, even if they lost half their members.
PS. I go to a gym that costs $30/month and accept the rabble in the place and it works for me. If I decide to spend more money on a $150/mo gym I wish the option was available. I'm certain the $150/mo place will be a classier place than where I go now.

When everyone from Massapequa (and Massapequa Park) got together Sunday for our weekly meeting we decided that we deserved another one.

Doesn't seem right that the folks in North Massapequa and East Massapequa don't get a chance to vote, huh?

Yes, we are very exclusive and take our total number of fitness clubs very seriously.
