Election Results

Quote:
Suffolk lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle are proposing a budget plan that would raise taxes in hopes of saving hundreds of jobs.

The legislative budget plan not only would increase the police district tax.....

Ultimately, the plan is to limit the layoffs of county employees to 88 - down from the 710 jobs that would have been cut
Really?

Enough already. Keep taxes low, lose employees through attrition, and help the taxpayers keep a few dollars that they can spend to help the economy.

Need to pay our public employees more. We can't stop until each individual employee makes twice as much as the average household.

Need to pay our public employees less. We can't stop until corporate CEOs are the only ones making enough money to live.
