Kyle

We had started with this a while back.

Nonetheless "the good towns gone bad" was meant to be constructive.
Sometimes towns fall a sleep and begin to decay.

When that happens, I think its because local folks wait for "Those people to fix up the blah blah blah area "and fail to get involved themselves.

When Rocky Point was going the wrong way a long time ago...I found myself looking in the mirror. Now a few years later we've come quite a long way.Is it perfect...no, but Im very happy with the progress I see and I beleive it's going in a direction I can be proud of.

I know this because I attend the local Civic meeting and I shout from the rooftop when I see BS.
Perhaps you should too.

The biggest problem I see in Mastic Shirley is a lack of civic organization.

You have way too many splinter assocaitions (Mastic Civic/Shirley Civic/Mastic Beach Civic Manor Park etc etc ec....If I heard right there was even something as goofy as a Tangiers civic).
You need many people with one LOUD voice to make a change.

Why are you so down on Mastic Shirley?
Theres some good people in there fighting like hell to get rid of the Slumlords and the Section 8 and Level 2 dumping.

As my buddy Jane told me.
"If you're gonna sit on the sidelines... you relinquish your right to BitC4."

Take Action Kyle

Godspeed

Didn't Central Islip have a whole expensive tax-payer subsidized renewal thing about 12 years ago? It is just as terrible as always, at least when you drive through it.
