Vey good SD and very expensive to live there. My husband has friends who live there. I assume you mean Half Hollow Hills SD. don't have much else to say because I am not 100% sure about them other than what I have heard. it's Town of Huntington.

Actually, a small part is also in the (Northern part of the) Town of Babylon (yes, HHH schools!)

Expensive to live there is relative - the OP didn't mention anything about price or affordability yet , and prices have declined even in this school district.

My husband would love to live there if we could afford it.

Everybody has different circumstances when it comes to affordability. I just sold a nice colonial there (4BR, 2 1/2 ba) on shy 1/2 acre for $440,000 with true taxes under $10K!! More than one offer too, which was nice for my sellers :-)

My wife went to school there and graduated in 2001. Where you move in the school district does not mean you will get that high school. My wife pretty much lived next to half hollow hills west and got sent to east because west had too many students.

true, right now 440,00 and just under 10k in taxes is way out of our league. my taxes are 6500 with star. 1/2 acre is nice though.

Most likely that 440K is in Wheatley Heights or the "Dix Hills" south of the lie.

East of Burrs La, North of Straight Path and south of the Town line is actually Wheatley Heights but with a Dix Hills mailing address.

But I agree, it is still a beautiful area. I actually find it to be more upscale than the part of Dix Hills further up Straight Path.
