I love the basketball hoop. That is a classic. And I see they started to pave part of the road. Its on its way up.

Default Hello

I would love to defend this but i can not.
Unfortunately i live 3 miles from this in the Tangier's section, a world of difference, sometimes i can't believe it.
A friend lives near this atrocity where the graveyard of Woodhull and the the William Floyd estates r located.
During the Revolution and the turn of the century, very wealthy families lived here, it brings me to tears.
On the 5 corners in Mastic beach the Knapp's the Dana's the Schultz's and so many other prominent families had Mansions and business's.
Dr.Calaboro bought the old Pattersquash Manor and turned it into a hospital during the 50's, William Floyd's cousin built it in 1761 and was burned down during the 1986 scourge, pity.
These people died and their ancestors inherited the land sold it or died or moved. Small bungalows went up AROUND THE 40'S And 50'S those people died or moved and became absentee landlords and rented to anyone.
The 80's was a very dark time in mastic beach.
They say there is money in poverty. Shame. I have hopes things will change in the next 10 years, more people own their houses in town now.
Oh well at least the old history is interesting.
Peace

I think you can find a crappy section in almost every town. Whats the point of driving around and taking pictures of them? Everybody is just trying to get by in this world, even in Mastic.

I'd have to say it's pretty funny that the heading that's bashing an area is misspelled.
