Is Uniondale ny a ok place to live, I've look other areas of nassau but the taxes is very hight, my budget is for taxes is 7300. Baldwin looked ok but the taxes is alittle higher then Uniondale, how is the middle schools in uniondale?
Compared to Baldwin RVC, Oceanside, Merrick - Uniondale fares poorly. For crime stats, look at the Nassau County Police Dept website and see the data..Schools are average by national and state standards but the reason property and school taxes are cheaper is for a good reason...the level of achievement isnt on the same level as nearby school districts.
I hate to say this but if your family cant afford taxes of at least $8,000 a year, perhaps Nassau County is not a good place for you to look at...there are nicer towns in Suffolk county where you can pay about the same in taxes and live in a larger house and maybe a better school district..
