Hi folks...I've been away from these boards for quite a while (couldn't get on the site for some reason), but wanted to check in and let everyone know I finally sold my old home and brought my (sorta) dream home in Garden City. It was a bit of a nightmare all around, but now that's it's all behind me I can truly say it was worth it. Hope I can help anyone else out with the buying/selling process now that I lived through it!

Congratulations on your new home!
You lived to tell about it

Thanks everyone! Yes Twingles, I'm in the western section, in the 'Little Connecticut' area...love it. SO quiet! And the kids have adjusted well. Just such a nightmare to get the closing done and then my buyers were so upset with me because I had multiple delays. Not a pleasant experience at the end, lots of lawyers involved (don't even get me started on that mess). And in the middle of it all I lost my job (but now have a better one). But really happy and most everyone I've met so far in GC has been very nice. House needs updates but I went through that with the old house, all in due time. Anyway, any advice I can give to anyone I'm happy to share...
Hey there, I remember you -- Franklin Square, right? Congrats on your move and surviving the process!
