Same here with Bedlam. Blah food-bad service. Too bad, the really improved the old Country Kitchen, and CSH could handle more than 1 or 2 good restaurants! it is a shame, I would say do not take the drive GCGuy-but 105 CSH is pretty good.
I could also recommend Show Win in Northport for sushi (there is an amazing selection of rolls) if you are into that. There are Chinese offerings as well, for the sushi-lover's dinner partner who doesn't partake. Down the road, Mill Pond House in Centerport is very, very nice for a special meal. Bring lots of $.

Maroni - Northport Village - Great meatballs, white clam sauce and more. An AMAZING TASTING MENU that is $$$ but worth it. Individual dishes aren't too pricey. Bring cash, no credit cards.
Canterberry Ales - Oyster Bay wins hands down. Great seafood, burgers, "pub food" and an amazing collection of beers.
Pomodoro - the BEST tomato soup in scooped out bread. The collection of Pomodorinos are great and reasonable.
Cirellas in Melville. OUTSTANDING and friendly. Seafood fri-diavalo is out of this world. Feeds at least two.
Peter Lugar: The lunch burger is one of the best bargains out there! A meal at Lugars for under $20 per person!
Just had an outstanding wine dinner at Novita in Garden City. Ultra nice, and quite knowledgeable service, great outdoor table.
$37...excellent bean and greens salad paired with a white wine, outstanding pork chop w/ truffle risotto and spinach paired with a red, then an amazing chocolate/espresso bar w/ pistaccio ice cream anda lemon cookie with some of the best sparkling port-like wine I've had in a long time. Wife's pasta was excellent and her kick-ass zeppoles were on the house. Great meal. I'm glad we chose to have our son's baptism party there.
